desperately looking to contact huaracheria lety...

Post by punkie » Tue Jul 07, 2009 9:16 pm

I'm trying to track down the street address or website for a sandal shop called Lety in PV. My mom used to go there when I was a little girl and bring back sandals for me. I want to see if the shop is still in existence, and if I can still get shoes from them.

Hope someone knows something that can help me...

There is a place called Lety's boutique on either Juarez or Morelos but its a clothing store. I've been in there several times and did not see a shoe section. Perhaps its not the same. Sorry thats the best I can do. When are you going to be there?

Sorry to say, I am very much over 15 years old!

Thank you, Chico for the information. did anyone take over the business?

i read in a tour guide from only 2 years ago about the shop- and it sounded exactly like i remember from way back when. are there any other sandal stores that make shoes similar to Lety?

i know this seems a little silly, but i love my shoes so much and i have such fond memories of picking out the styles and the colors. we used to trace the outline of our feet and send it off from the states with our requests, when we didn't go down to PV that year. i do hope he is enjoying his retirement, but i am sad that i might have reached a dead end.

Punkie... :) check the thread below...

Happy feet in PV... :D

Very cute about tracing your feet...
I have not thought about that for many years and it brought back a nice memory..

Our Mom used to do that so if...she found a great deal on shoes and my bro and I were not with her she could go ahead and purchase the shoes..

There are many huaracherias in PV where they make them right there. Just wander around and you will stumble upon them. I still have a pair from Lety's that I bought in 1984!! They are in great condition, and I still wear them, especially when I travel to PV.

i'm not really looking for huaraches... i'm looking for different styles of sandals that are really bright colored leather that i got from lety's about 15 or so years ago. just wondering if anyone else makes shoes like don nacho did before he retired. thanks for all of the help and great tips...
