Bead Stores

where are the beads in pv
I did not find loose beads easily in PV. I think that Guadalajara must
have some good bead stores though. Anyway, if you find a small store that has lots of trims and things to use for sewing or making party decorations, they may have beads.
How soon are you going? Do I have time to look through my files,
for more info for you?

a bisuteria
Hi ! In 2009, I found beads in PV at 'La Perlita'
on Calle Juarez, #480.
altho bisuteria is a bead store, this one was a merceria.
and as mentioned, it had a variety of materials, yarn, lace
(i think) i had to go into a lot of stores with a lot of questions and probably have the info a little mixed.
The La Perlita stores are sort of a chain, sort of a franchise.
tho each one has different goods than the other and they do not all carry beads.
i did not look for this store in 2010.
Calle Juarez is 2 or 3 block inland from the Malecon.
I walked how many blocks north? don't recall .
maybe as many as 10 or more (if you start from behind the McDonalds
on the Malecon.)
at that time, i was told to try the La Perlita that is in Plaza Caracol.
didn't get there yet. hope to try on my March visit
i think that i bought mother or pearl and onyx or was it obsidian since these were typical to the region.
look forward to hearing about your bead shopping.
I make simple necklaces for my own use.
i enjoy using beads that i've bought on my travels.
are you a bead artist or?

Thank you so much for the info!!!
I am a bead designer I guess I could call myself as I sell and enter exhibits and contest and have won 1st place 2 years in a row.
I have only been doing beaded jewelry for over 2 years and I love it, so whenever I can find a bead store I go.
I just stumbled on one in Guadalajara the other day I had never been to. I go quite frequently to the Centro Magno in Guad.
Thanks again and I will report back.
