Question about Pesos
Post
by jojo-scott » Fri Jan 21, 2011 8:19 pm
Hi everyone. My neighbor passed away and his wife gave me a bunch of peso bills and coins. Is the 2000 peso bill still useable and if so how much is it worth? Thanks

Mexico revalued their currency in 1994 so a $2000 bill from 2000 you will still be able to use. The with the current rates at about 12 to 1 it is worth about $240 US give or take as the rate fluccuates daily according to the market.

I can honestly say that I haven't seen a MXN$2000 bill since they devalued the old Peso...
Looking on wikipedia, it appears that they do NOT currently have a $2K note.

Anything older than 1994 is no longer any good.
