Shipping container, buy or rent?

Post by MichaelEL » Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:23 am

Does anyone know where to buy or rent long-term shipping containers for our building site storage?
I'm sure we can get them in Manzanillo where shipping companies/ships travel frequently to and from China, but I was hoping for something closer.
Thanks in advance for any information.

Saw those posts a long time ago, thanks. I have found numerous places in the world where shipping containers are being used for stores, clinics, homes, emergency shelters, and more. We found apartment buildings in Sweden made from stacked containers.

However, I'm not going to live in it; just store things.

Most of the shipping comes into Manzanillo now, and thanks to NAFTA and new agreements allowing Mexican truckers to transport into the US, there is a shift of shipping from Long Beach, California (expensive) to Manzanillo (inexpensive), then moved by train and truck to the US. (My son works for a large shipping container company).

Fascinating stuff, but I was just hoping to find one to buy in PV (closer).
