Mexican ID Card?

Post by movingtopv » Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'd prefer not to carry around my California ID or my US Passport. Is there some sort of resident card or something I can get?

We got our Curp cards in Tepic, Nayarit at the state office where births are registered. Our FM3s and passports were required for the very short process. I am sure there is a similar government office in Puerto Vallarta.

Very easy to get. Just take your FM3 and about $450 pesos and your passport. They take your photo and fingerprints and off you go. Whole process takes about 10 minutes if there is no line.
