We are working towards purchasing a condo on the South Shore and have received a budget from our Notary that amounts to about 6% of the purchase price....this includes all fees, taxes, charges relating to the Notary services, the trust etc. Is this a reasonable amount (we are not overly concerned) and is there anything else we should be aware of before we finalize everything. Thanks for the help advance....

The single largest cost is the acquisition tax with is approximate 2% of assesed value. This value is usually much less than purchase price (which is what the budget is based on) So ask at the closing to see the EXACT numbers, it should be part of your new deed and you should be refunded any excess.
