Banking in PV

Post by Tranquilo » Mon Nov 01, 2010 6:05 pm

Is there a Chase Bank in PV?

If not, which bank would be best to have funds transferred from the US to PV?

I am not sure how long or often I will be in PV, so I want to be able to wire money periodically rather than monthly

Use your ATM card if you can because you get the best exchange rate.

Just make sure you notify the bamk that you will be using it in Mexico, so they most likely will cancel it.

gdremark,

Thank you for the reply.

Do you know if there is a Chase Bank branch in PV?

there isn´t a chase branch in vallarta (or Mexico). If you want to receive your money, use the ATM, or if you are going to stay for very long, then open a bank account here.

i remember years ago on my first trip to mexico when I used an ATM and it showed my balance as 10 x's what I remember it being.

then I realized it was showing me the balance in pesos and I quickly fell back down to the ground.

LOL
