Puerto Vallarta Forum (PV Bulletin Board)

hi all, I am trying to buy a condo in PV and am negotiating the price straight with the owner. It was listed for 155k and they dropped the price to 140k which I think is good considering this is a > 8% discount.

I guess they are doing that since we both are NOT using a realtor.
My question is, right now (Sept 2013), is it a buyer's market?

I ask because I think I can bring the price down to another 5k. Am I being greedy or these listings are all overpriced?

All the signs point in a buyer's market direction, if I had money now, this would be the time to buy (and haggle too).

Remember to visit the area at night and during the weekends, to get an idea of the general environment too (noise, neighbors).
