Spicey Seafood Cocktail and Blue margarita

Post by jfinlay » Mon May 31, 2004 3:06 am

This is from the book we got at the Pitillal Tequilla tour - Only two recipes and the rest were drinks.
If anyone wants me to post more drinks or the oyster shooters from this little Tequila book let me know.

Vuelve a la vida ( Spicey seafood cocktail)

2 pounds fresh medium shrimp peeled, de-veined, boiled/seasoned - do not overcook
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 small white onion chopped
3 or more serrano chiles chopped
12 oz. seafood homestyle cocktail sauce
3 oz. lime juice
1/2 cup tequila
3 avocados peeled,seeded and cubed
salt and pepper to taste

Mix together the ingredients except for the avocado - chill for 1-2 hours. Adjust the seasonings and gently toss in the avocado cubes.
Serves 6-8

Blue Margarita

1 1/2 oz tequila
1 1/2 oz blue curaca
1/2 oz sugar cane syrup
1 oz. lime juice

Shake all ingredients in a blender to make it frozen and pour into cocktail glass.
