hurray!!! got the confirmation. It took a few e-mails and phone calls. With it being from Mexico if the key in everything and make a mistake my credit card locks down. So a second attempt will not go through even if the correct info is given. Interesting......

Des and I used this service for our trip at the end of February. Everything was as promised - it was so nice to be met with a sign with our name and a friendly face. We will definitely use this service again and have already recommended this to a couple of our friends!

Tom and I used this service last Nov. and again March 14th and highly recommend it. We had an almost brand new Malibu LT that was very nice and clean with a very nice driver. Much roomier than the regular taxis.

We could not have been more pleased with the service. After several years of trying different things from being "captured" to even walking out past the airport proper, we will never again need to be concerned about getting to our resort after the hour wait in the immigration lines. We were tired and fatigued and within 15 minutes after getting through immigration we were at the resort.

This was one of the very few rides in a taxi that did not challenge an experience at "Six Flags." Comfortable and resting ride

Great service.

We had booked it for our Thursday arrival and even though we were an hour and a half delayed, still no problems...we were out of the airport and to the hotel before some of the others from our plane were through Customs. Awesome service.

This taxi service is fantastico

Post by islena » Thu Apr 02, 2009 4:36 am

Tried this Taxi service for the first time, and it was fantastico.
I arrived very fatigued after twelve hours of air travel.
The friendly, easy to access, smooth, service provided was
wonderful. Worth every centavo. The price was reasonable
to begin with and then felt like champagne service. I was out
of PVR very quickly, bottle of cold water in hand, feeling very
pampered and coddled. Just what I needed to get my vacation started.

That was Thursday, March 19. The next day, my cousin, who had
booked this taxi at my suggestion, had trouble with her flights.
I phoned the taxi service twice with her delays. No problema.
When she finally arrived, they whisked her to us at the hotel
promptly and smoothly.

You deserve good service too, at a reasonable price. Book it now!

Well after re-reading this thread, I decided that I would make our reservation for next Saturday. We get in at 8:15 p.m., and it's our first trip to PV. I don't want to mess with the "shark tank", or figuring out how to get to the other side for a cheaper taxi, negotiating, after traveling all day. This sounds like a great idea for newbies to the PV scene.

8 sleeps!

Right after you clear Immagration, there will be some ladies at a window holding signs with your name (they also call out your name). Then you grab your luggage, go through Customs and the shark tank. On the other side of the shark tank is the spot where people can wait for you...one of the ladies from the window will be there with your name...I think they all wear pink shirts. They bring you to an office 15 ft away and you sign 3 slips...they give you a cold bottle of water and out a side door you go...great service :)

I'm getting a little nervous, leaving in three days, and haven't received a confirmation on the reservation for the taxi. :?

send an e-mail to taxi@puertovallarta.net and/or call in to 1888 247-8081 (the number on the header of the site pages) and talk to Leonel or Maria.
That's the information I was given and our confirmation came shortly after we made contact with them.

Thank you for posting this information! We are going to PV in September and there will be 7 of us. I was not sure how to handle getting a taxi, but this seems to be the best way. I also could not see in the drop down anything more than a 5 person Suburban. Is there a number I can call to ask for a car big enough for the seven of us?

taxi Service

Post by bgsnmky » Mon Jul 20, 2009 12:20 pm

I just made reservations for sat. the 25th.

I just want to make sure - I was thinking someone would meet us (with a sign with our names) to take us to the taxi, but It says to go to the taxi stand, is this correct.

Do we get our luggage first? The go to the stand.

Once you clear Immigration (the booths that look at your passport) you should hear them calling your name...their window is on your lefthand side. They will confirm who you are and tell you that one of them will meet you past the timeshare people (they have pink shirts on). Grab your bags, clear customs (red light/green light) and then you'll enter the timeshare room(s)...keep walking... the last room you'll enter will have people holding signs, etc...one of the ladies in a pink shirt will be waiting there.

Thanks for posting about the Taxi service. I am supposed to be the ring leader for me, my husband, my friends and their 3 kids. I reserved two taxi's as they told me 7 of us would not fit in a suburban. It just makes things easier I think. knowing someone is going to be there to take us to the hotel is a relief. I'm glad I found this site, the information has been so helpful!

We leave next Friday. I can't believe it!

again, Gracias!

So, is there no way to reserve online if your hotel is not on the list?

I'd recommend you choose a hotel that is close by and leave a comment in the comment field saying that you actually are staying at X hotel and not in the chosen one.

Greetings

sounds like a reasonable solution to me.
I'll give it a shot.
