VW Bug Convertable

Post by Contessa » Mon Dec 10, 2007 4:54 pm

We'd like to rent a VW Convertable for a few days while we are down in December. Any recommendations on where to rent from?

Thanks!

Sandra

think it will be hard finding a convertable
they are obsolete
as well as the safari (thing)

most if not all have recent models

I know katnsocal uses them. If you use the search function and type in "mango" you should be able to come up with something on them.

Thanks Lori. I did a search and did find alot of info. I think I'll give Magno a try. We have Visa with Auto Insurance, so we'll be covered. We only need a car for a couple days to do some exploring. There are some beaches we'd like to see, as well as some towns to the north.

I have had great results renting from them for the past 10+ years. Once I found them I have never used anyone else.

Thanks for the reply... I'll let you all know how we make out with Magno.

My hubby used to have a VW Convertable (one of many VW's) when he was in his early 20's... even drove one from Edmonton to Fort Smith... now that would be an interesting ride!!

Take care all........

Just check your VISA auto insurance policies closely - many of the CC companies DO NOT cover rentals in Mexico.

Maybe yours does, but better to know beforehand !!

I know it's to late for the original poster but Prestige car rentals still rents the V.W. converts for $40.00 a day. their located just outside the airport and down across from the Tropicana Hotel in the Romantica zone. We have been renting from them for the last 9 or 10 years with no problems yet!

I didn't come up with anything on a Google search...does Prestige have a website?

Looked at their website, but was not able to do much. Cannot tell how much their rentals are.
