Compare rates

Post by bushman600 » Tue Jan 04, 2011 11:09 pm

I have had a quote of $28 from this company to Zona Romantica (I think Old Town as they do not list our condo in their destination choices).
Is that what the other airport taxis are charging?

You have 3 choices:
The airport taxi's (fares are regulated by the Federal Govt. and are the only "taxi's permitted to take you from the airport).

Haul all your luggage up and over a bridge to get across the street (outside of the airport) and try to bargin for a cheaper fare with the taxi drivers that sit over there.

Arrange for a private taxi.

The airport fare is $260.00 pesos to the Zona Romantica. (Depending on the exchange rate it is roughly $23 US.) There are 3 different booths and they may vary by a few pesos.

Private taxi rates and service vary. You said you got "this" company for $28.00. Hard to say what their reputation is like since you don't give the name of the company.

People who book through this website have nothing but good things to say about the service.

Taxi's

Thanks. I understand the constrictions on the airport taxi's, it's the same everywhere.
I was just trying to compare rates to ensure they were in the same ballpark.
