Airfare from Boston?

Trying to figure out what a good RT airfare is from Boston to PV. I'm checking for a friend who wants to come down in January 2004.

I know that really good airfare from San Francisco can be around $325.

Going rate right now from Boston is about $600... I'll be there in 2 weeks and can't wait. But that was hte best rate I could find
