Connecting Flights

I will be flying down May 1 st with Mexicana Air. I fly from Vancouver to Mexico City and then on to PV. Stop over in Mexico City is 1 hour 10 minutes. I will be changing planes in Mexico City( still with Mexicana or Aeromexico). Does anyone know, would I be collecting my bags and passing through immigration, would the bags just be transfered to my connecting flight and I do not pass immigration or do the bags get transfered and I still go through immigration, or do I end up going through immigration in PV? Anybody know.

Sorry Mikey I have no first hand knowledge of this but, I would think that you would have to collect your bags and go through immigration in Mexico City.
