Those of you who consider Willie and Lobo part of the Vallarta scene might want to know that on their web site, the October tour dates listed are for the "Willie and Lobo's Farewell Tour 2007." All the venues are West Coasters, so if they're appearing in your area and you've never heard them live, you really should. I've sent an e-mail asking if "Farewell" means what I think it means, but haven't heard back yet. In the meantime, go out and buy their "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze" CD. We heard them first by happy chance one night while walking across the Rio Quale bridge and they were playing at the River Cafe. The sound was enchanting and we've been hooked ever since. We've seen them three times on their rare East Coast appearances, once in Annapolis and twice in Philly. We'll miss them and we wish them the best. And thanks for the beautiful music.
