i guess if you were to drive there you'd go north around airport, then
stay as close to runway as roads would let you until you hit the beach.
I believe that is Boca de Tomates (as opposed to Boca de Tomatlan). There are signs from the highway that direct you down there.
Ellen, you read my mind. The pescado at Boca de Tomate is INCREDIBLE!! And it is a beautiful beach. You'll have to find a taxi out there or get good directions if driving yourself and plan on spending the entire afternoon. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. It is definitely worth the trip. Shrimp is available everywhere you go. If you want shrimp everything, try the Shrimp Factory in Old Town, it's all they serve and it's good.

As far as where to go party? Depends on what type of music you like. Not quite sure what you mean by "good clean fun". I think you're talking to the wrong group for that. LOL Were you interested in dancing? Or picking up fine young Mexican waiters? Or riding a donkey into a bar?? Or dancing on the bar?? Now I personally consider all of these good clean fun. Only because I have been known to do all of the above. Tom....not a word!!! LOL Andale's plays rock you would like, Roxy's has a live band and plays rock, with a bit of reggae thrown in from time to time.

I LOVE dancing so any place with live music would be great. Like rock and roll, raggae, latin music. I wouldn't mind a place with a little bit older set but I've been know to "rock the joint" with the 20 and 30 year olds. Something about having more stamina as I get older. I put that "good clean fun" in my post to deter any more propositions. I'm hoping to take some latin dance lessons before I go but I have to admit the best lesson I had was in Cuba with another couple. The guys were fishing and we met a couple of young cubans who taught us some moves. Very FUN!!!

Also, isn't there a cuban bar in PV. Wouldn't mind a mojito!!

Too much fun, too little time!!!!

Yes, I believe the Cuban club you are refering to is La Bodeguita del Medio on the Malecon they have a live band. That's a great place. I've always found someone there willing to work with me on my salsa moves. :D Another beautiful club you shouldn't miss is Mambo Cafe. That is out in Plaza Marina. They are open from Wednesday thru Saturday 10pm till 5am. Also have a live band and after the band they play excellent music until dawn. La Bodeguita is a smaller club whereas Mambo Cafe is huge (not by Mexico DF standards though. My friends from Mexico DF tell me Mambo Cafe is small compared to the salsa clubs there. Last time I was in Mexico DF I didn't go clubbing, but I plan on checking it out next time  .) Also, JB (pronounced Hota Bay) gives salsa lessons every Thursday night. It is a GREAT salsa club. JB tends to be less tourist and more local. JB is best if you are a serious die hard dancer, otherwise try the other places mentioned here and you won't be disappointed. JB is a place for locals and for Latino or serious Gringo salseros. Otherwise, a new salsa club just opened on the Malecon called Rio Latino also a live band. It's by the Starbucks. Seen it, haven't been yet, so I can't say much about it. So, there you have some choices. Or just go to them all!! Cheers!! :P
