Just got back Friday night from a week in PV and have to say this is my number 1 bar!! The band was fabulous (even though I can't remember thre name and I should since I was there 4 times! The latino lead singer was amazing. She can do an awesome Janis Joplin. We made friends with most of the waiters, door guy, bar tenders etc. Felt like family after our last night when we left at closing time which incidentially brought us back to our hotel at 7:00 A.M. Crazy Canadian women we were! This bar isn't packed but the music is great if you look older solid rock, raggae, and some latino music. There was always someone to dance with and I got to try some serious latin dancing.

Roxy's is a bar close to Andales. I would say it is more of a bar then a club. They have an awesome band playing rock, raggae and a singer with an increditble raspy voice. Crowd is local on weekends with a mix of canadians and americans that live there and some tourists. I would say the crowd is more 30 and up at least during the week. If you go say hi to some of the waiters from Chris, one of the crazy canuck women and they should know who you're talking about.

I love this bar. Dark, excellent service and fun times.

I have been going to PV since I was a child, now go each year solo (divorced) just to chill out and have some fun!

Appreciate the info!

for some reason every year we go there, someone in our party is so
drunk we end up leaving too early.
happened again this year! damn it.

i agree, the female singer is very good.
saw her last year and this year.

The Roxy is on Ignacio Vallarta, down the street from El Torito and Mariachi Loco.

Club Roxy that closed, re-opened as Route 66 (or something like that)?? If so, that was always our favorite hang out! I sure hope it's the same place!

This Club Roxy was one of our favorite "finds" our 2nd opr 3rd time in PV. A band, The Children, played there and they were really good. I love live music so much more than a jukebox or DJ. I'm so glad this place reopened and I am very much looking forward to going!!!

Is the Roxy still open? I'm reading the old thread, and it sounds like it closed? It sounds like a great place for dancing the night away!

I would like to know as well. Plan on going back in late February and since we rocked the joint last February I hope to do the same again this winter.

It is open as the Roxy. I just walked by it many times during my recent trip.

And is the music still great there? I remember last year they had a great band playing. Adrianna I believe was the name of the lead singer. Incredible.
