New Years Eve 2008

Any suggestions for a first timer (New Years Eve in Vallarta)

I am leaning towards either Vista Grille at Midnight or some place down town earlier in the evening and just winging it!??

any suggestions?- I am not finding much info online.

The street dance on Olas Altas is lots of fun. They close off the street in the late afternoon and set up a stage for a DJ. The street all along the Malecon is closed off to traffic, too but I would avoid that later in the evening. It's a complete zoo and extremely crowded.
