The best Salsa club in Puerto Vallarta without a doubt is J&B. They are known for their latin music. They play a lot of Salsa, merengue, and Cumbia. Plus on Wednesday's-Sunday's, they have live bands there. It gets pretty packed at the club when they have the live bands. On Monday and Tuesday night though it's kind of empty there when they don't have live bands. The club is open until 6am everyday. I just went there 2 weeks ago and the cover charge was 90 pesos when they have a live band. The club is located about 5 minutes before the malecon.

There are more locals who go to this club than tourists. Although you will see a mix of both.

La Bodeguita del Medio

Paseo Diaz Ordaz 858 at Allende (Malecon) Puerto Vallarta

That's one block south of Hotel Rosita and about 9 block north of the cathedral. The club faces the malecon.

Personally, I like the music at Bodegita better. I find that J&B plays WAY too much cumbia, merengue, and weird 50's rock and roll mixes. Coming from a city with great salsa bands, I am a bit spoiled. Also, I have found that the guys at J&B aren't all that likely to ask you to dance unless they're trying to pick you up. But it does have more locals than Bodegita. There used to be a great place called the Rex, but it's long gone :( Also, I don't know if they still do, but about a year ago when I was last there, they had salsa some nights (Tuesday maybe?) at Bianco. Great martinis too!

I can´t anything except to say that Bianco is closed and up for sale.
