Just wondering being the semi closeted gay guy that I am... would there be a problem - from the restaurant, or the other patrons if there was a gay couple having dinner on the beach as described on Lapalapapv(dot) com (romantic Dinner). We am very respectful of others, and I know that PVR is okay with gay people, however, is doing something as a couple that would normally be reserved for straight couple create an issue?

Thank you for your help and any suggestions for our first time to PV would be great. I have been reading this board for over a month, and can't get enough. Really looking forward to PV; it has been on my list of things to do for a long time.

Regards,

Robert

robert a good question!

ill lay odds that you would be treated as fairly as any other person as well with dignity
you see robert, lapalapa is in the heart of the gay community and if they were to treat you with disrespect would only cost them business

on the other hand if the public dont like it tell them to go elsewhere where they dont have to goggle over you and your partner having a wonderfull meal.

im sure youll have a wonderfull time

any other questions? feel free to ask

sincerely

My partner and I have not experienced any problems being a couple at any of the restaurants, bars (straight ones), shops and mainstream stores (wal-mart), etc. in PV.

We don't hide our relationship nor do we flaunt it. We hold hands and do the regualr kinds of stuff that couples do. I don't think anyone appreciates any kind of couple- gay or straight- making out but general PDA's in a respectful manner should be ok.

Palapa is in the heart of the gay area so they are seeing anything 'new'.

Hope you guys have a great time!

Why would you want to go on a beautiful vacation to PV, with your partner and NOT want to do something like that? Even old fogies like me (50+) have come to realize that this is a normal part of Canadian and American society, and enjoyment in life is best accomplished by things you do with your best friend, who most of the time happens to be your spouse or partner. You will fit right into the PV vacation scene. Trust me on this one, you will go, have that evening supper on the beach, enjoy it immensely, and bring back fantastic memories.

Agreed

I have to totally agree with the previous posters. You will be just fine in PV and you should have a fun, romantic, loving dinner on the beach... I agree with Ronald on the changes in "attitudes" etc... we all have to deal with our "demons" and i have no problem with you and your life partner sitting at the table next to me, dining, enjoying each other company, and gazing into each others eyes, if you don't mind me doing the same with my wife... if i hold her hand, you hold his, if i reach across the table and kiss her, you do the same, that is what life and love is all about... and those that object... well ......     :x  better just learn to deal with it....

have a great time....

I know this is an older post but I really enjoyed reading it. We will be staying at Conchas Chinas and we are both like navy721 - not really out and well with PDA, I never even did that with my wife - hold her hand in public etc. I think the military instilled that PDA was not right - or rather not good in my line of work in the Air Force.

I was hoping that Robert might post any good things about PV or if there were any problems.
