Red Cabbage

Can anyone give me any information, on the Red Cabbage Restaurant? We were there a few years ago, and it was delicious. Later we heard of problems with security in that area. Any information would be helpful.

That area is still experiencing some problems off and on. The restaurant itself would be fine to go to as long as you take a taxi to and from. I would not recommend walking around in that area after dark.

We were the ones who squawked a couple years ago when my wife's purse was snatched about 20 yards away from the door. We'd walked to town from there a couple times before and our luck ran out. (btw, he bumped me from behid first, but I carry my wallet in my front wallet) The thief had to be lurking, waiting for a victim. Which is good odds since it's a cash-only restaurant and people will probably have more than they need. But don't pass it up because of that. We still tell people the Red Cabbage is a must. Take the cab both ways. And NEVER carry a clutch purse in any city.
