Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra’s Concierto Navideño 2018
The Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra is delighted to invite you to the first concert of their 14th season, Concierto Navideño 2018.
In addition to classical favorites, traditional, and popular Christmas music, the concert will feature the Concerto for Two Flutes and Orchestra by Cimarosa with soloists Klaus Liebetanz and D’Rachael. The program also includes Dance of the Tumblers (Rimsky-Korsakov), Villanesca (Granados), Capriccio Italien(Tchaikovsky), Berceuse and Finale from the Firebird Suite (Stravinsky), as well as a selection of popular and traditional Christmas music.
The first performance of this concert is on Sunday, December 16 at The American School of Puerto Vallarta, Albatros 129, Marina Vallarta; and the second on Monday, December 17 at Salon Paraiso, Paseo de los Cocoteros 67, Nuevo Vallarta. Both concerts begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is 200 pesos for adults and 80 pesos for children. Tickets will be available at the door. Since its inception as a small ensemble the Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra has grown to be a full-sized orchestra, being the only community orchestra in the Bay Area. Directed by Daniel Oliveros, the PVCO houses local and international musicians with over 40 artists from +8 countries all joining their talent to produce the highest level of formal music in the whole region. The PVCO is part of a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation and instruction of music at all levels, Instituto de Artes Musicales or IAM PV.
