The Puerto Vallarta Institute of Culture announced the third edition of the Damajuana Raicilla Festival, to take place this weekend (March 15 – 17) at the esplanade of the Cuale Cultural Center and other secondary venues.
The event aims to promote this alcoholic beverage produced in the region and obtained from the agaves verde and lechuguilla.
In recent years, the popularity of raicilla has increased considerably among visitors to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. The festival is, therefore, a good opportunity to get to know its flavor, the culture revolving around this beverage and some of the local producers.
The activities of the event include lectures, talks, music and theater (in Spanish). For more information about the Damajuana Raicilla Festival, visit its official Facebook page.
