Great Holy Week and Easter period expected for Vallarta

According to the Municipal Director of Tourism, the state is expecting higher hotel occupancy for the Holy Week & Easter 2019 holiday period.

Expectations for the Holy Week and Easter period are as usual very high, with even higher occupancy rates this year, according to Ramón González Lomelí.

The municipality’s Tourism Directorate will have public service modules, like in previous years, at the API (Integral Port Administration), the truck central, the airport and in front of Vallarta Plus.

With the expectation that Vallarta will hit 100% occupancy, specially on the Thursday-Sunday period, Gonzalez Lomeli noted ‘we’ve talked to hotels so they keep us updated on room availability so we can help visitors’. About this, he noted that usually tourists arrive at the directorate to ask for availability in the region, which is why they are coordinating with hotels.

When it comes to the economic spill in Puerto Vallarta for the holiday period, the  director noted the state is working with an estimate but numbers will have to be adjusted with current rates, so they will inform the public later on more accurate data.
