New Marathon in Puerto Vallarta

In celebration of Puerto Vallarta’s 100th annivesary and as part of the Centennial 2018 festivities, Vallarta will hold a marathon on Sunday, April 15th. This marks a milestone for the town because it’s the first time a full marathon will take place in the city.

The convening of this event is open to runners and general public under the following categories: Free: 18-39 years; Master: 40-49 years; Veteran: 50-59 years and Veteran Plus: 60 years and older. The award includes three absolute winners with prizes of $10,000; $6,000 and $5,000 for the first, second and third place respectively. In the same way the winners of each marathon category will get $4,000; $3,000 and $2,000; meanwhile the half marathon winners will have $2,000; $1,500 and $1,000 respectively. Times and results will be published on the website www.maratonpuertovallarta.com .

Start and finish for the marathon will be at the port terminal at 6:30 in the morning along with the half marathon race. To finish the competition organizers have established 6 and 3 hours respectively.

Registration fee is $500 up to March 31 and $600 until April 13. For registered competitors number and chip delivery will be at the Puerto Vallarta’s Marathon Expo on April 14 on a schedule from 9:00 to 18:00 hours. Competition register is available online at www.trotime.com.mx, by sending an email to contacto@maratonpuertovallarta.com and at all the Innova  stores through April 13.
