Museum of Opal and Minerals in Puerto Vallarta

The Museum of Opal and Minerals of Mexico offers its visitors a cultural and recreational alternative as well as a tourist attraction in the Romantic Zone.

The Museum of Opal and Minerals of Mexico offers guided tours through four stations that are representations of different Mexican mines. The tour begins in the opal mines setting, unique to the town of Magdalena, Jalisco and continues with a selection of quartzes alluding to the town Naica, Chihuahua. Next to them are the silver mines from Taxco, Guerrero and the tour concludes with an exhibition of gold and copper stones distinctive from Zacatecas.

Each space is carefully designed and set to create a unique sensorial experience, where residents and visitors of all ages will be able to learn in an interactive way the different extraction processes of the most representative gems and minerals from Mexico.

The Museum of Opal and Minerals of Mexico is located at Venustiano Carranza 218, Emiliano Zapata from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
