It has mountains, it has sea and it has sun. And now it will also have a UTMB World Series race for the first time. Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, will host one of the 30 races that the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc will organize this year and will be the only official one in Latin America.

It will be an event that will seek to connect with the region, legacy and ancestral traditions and will contribute to the unique essence of the UTMB brand, which this year launched its world series of qualifying races for the great original UTMB in Chamonix.
It will be the first time in history that Mexico is part of such an iconic event for the international community of ultramarathoners. Puerto Vallarta Mexico by UTMB will have multiple types of landscapes, from jungles to agave plantations passing through colonial towns and ending in the beautiful bay of Puerto Vallarta, one of the largest in the world, at 65 miles long.

The race will be from October 28 to 30 this year and each distance will have a particular name.

20k Ereno. A race of 940 meters of unevenness with a maximum time of 6 hours, with arrival and departure from the Malecón.

50k Nakawé (Mother Water). It will have 2000 of positive slope with a time limit of 12 hours. Leaving from the boardwalk, the route crosses the Isla del Río Cuale in its final part, with craft shops and restaurants to reach the Pacific Ocean.

100k hikuri. More than 3000 slope+ and a time of 22 hours. It begins in the town of Mascota and ends at the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta. The route runs through the mountainous section of Cerro del Cabroy la Piedra Bola and then descends to the Cuale River and crosses the jungle to Puerto Vallarta.

100m Wixarica. They are almost 170 kilometers, with a drop of 6500 meters and 40 hours of top. You will have an emblematic tour that begins in the Sierra Madre Occidental, descends to enter the jungle and continues until you find the Pacific Ocean: Pueblo Mágico de San Sebastián del Oeste and ends in the heart of Puerto Vallarta.

Registration is open from December. By participating in these races, Running Stones (points) will be collected that will give an additional opportunity to be selected through the lottery for the UTMB® World Series Finals.
