Puerto Vallarta will live the Graffiti Fest

Another edition of the Graffiti Fest will be held in this city on April 9 and 10, an event that celebrates its 12th anniversary and will feature the participation of 35 local, national, and international urban artists, as mentioned by the coordinator of the Municipal Institute for Youth Services (IMAJ), Bryan Rodríguez Bernal.

He stated that the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in El Cora Park, which is located by Paseo del Marlín between the Las Gaviotas and Los Delfines.

According to Rodríguez Bernal, the artists, both men and women, between the ages of 14 and 37, will leave their mark on this festival of colour and creativity, which will also feature live music.

The event’s goal, according to a municipal official, is “to generate awareness and responsibility in young people and the general public; we, as the Municipal Institute for Youth Services, have a duty to support young people in this type of art and activities, showcasing the local talents that bring a new vision, their creativity, their ability, colours, drawings, by showing their work in the public space, they are able to connect with the general society.”

He concluded by inviting citizens to attend and young people to be encouraged to participate, and to enjoy this event, which takes place every year. The art is becoming more and more noticeable in neighbourhoods, particularly in the downtown area, where urban art is sought after by tourists. “It is a source of pride for them that their talent is recognised; there is respect since the works they offer leave a clear message.”
