Puerto Vallarta will reach a 70% occupancy rate for the long national holiday weekend

The director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, Luis Villaseor Nolasco, reported that during this long weekend, this city’s hotel occupancy rate will exceed 70%.

There are high hopes for this patriotic long weekend. The tourism industry is already ready for the thousands of visitors who will help boost sales at the businesses.

As many people who were unable to travel during the summer and are looking for new experiences take advantage of this date, whether among friends or adults who forego the family vacation, it is a perfect excuse to celebrate this colorful and traditional holiday that has returned to our city.”We start with a patriotic bridge that will be the respite for the community and with good expectations that we can exceed 70% occupancy,” says the statement.

The connectivity from the Valley of Mexico continues to improve, he added, and a new flight from the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) to Puerto Vallarta will arrive on September 15 of this year. As a result, he added, regionally, all flights are still in operation, slightly depressing the international market, but there are high expectations for October operations to surpass those of 2019.

He made the following observation on the tourism that will be coming in over this long weekend:

Due to back-to-school costs, they are less likely to be families and more likely to be audiences, so those who will be traveling over this long weekend are looking for a break mixed with a celebration. The great advantage of Puerto Vallarta is that we have the nation’s widest selection of accommodations; whether they want to travel with friends, with their pets, with groups of coworkers or family, with parents, or just for a wellness retreat, we have the hotel selection to suit all needs.

He said that September is expected to end at 60% and that there are good things to look forward to this long weekend. He also said that people should take it easy and follow safety rules.
