Third San Pancho Migratory Birds Festival

The festival will take place on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2019 within the framework of World Migratory Bird Day; this year the focus is on the environmental threat caused by plastic pollution.

The San Pancho Center and Observatory for the Study and Conservation of Birds invites the general public to the III San Pancho Migratory Birds Festival to be held Saturday October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2019, in San Francisco, Banderas Bay, the “Cultural Capital” of the Riviera Nayarit.

As it does every year, the event will include cultural activities, workshops, conferences, and bird watching tours in different spots and along different routes established by the festival organizers. All activities are free of charge.

Biologist Luis Morales-Vallín, managing director of the San Pancho Bird Observatory, said the event is being held during the celebration of the World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD), which this year focuses on the environmental threat caused by plastic pollution. Its slogan this year is “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution.”
