Puerto Vallarta is the third safest city in Mexico, according to the National Urban Public Security Survey.

Puerto Vallarta is back in the top three of the safest cities in the country, with a lower insecurity perception among the population, according to the National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU), conducted by the National Institute of Statistics, Geography, and Informatics (INEGI), published back in April.

First and second place go to in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, and Mérida, Yucatán, respectively, as published in the same report.

According to the information provided by the town hall, Vallarta improved 2.4 points over the survey published in the last quarter of 2019.
