Vallarta Pride 2018's official website recently announced that their special VIP wristbands are finally available!

Vallarta Pride, the biggest LGBTQI event in Puerto Vallarta, returns this May 20-27 for its sixth year with a whole week of cultural and fun, free and exclusive events that you’re going to love!

This past Wednesday, April 11th, Vallarta welcomed representatives of the artistic community of Magdalena as part of the 'Expo Municipios' event, which will run through Sunday, April 15th.


In light of Vallarta's 100th anniversary, the mucicipality is promoting the traditions of Vallarta from 4pm to 11pm, the expo will be held in the Hidalgo Park, Plaza de Armas and the Municipal Presidency residence.

Some of the participants of this event include production houses “Standard Art Stone”, specializing in obsidian craftsmanship; and “TFM” known for their used of opal. Likewise, Magdalena's Contemporary Dance Company will present the play 'Contumaz' n Friday, april 13th.

Magdalena is a town and municipality in the state of Jalisco in central-western Mexico. It borders the state of Nayarit to the west, and the town of Tequila to the east. This town is home to several natural, cultural and historical attractions.

USS San Diego %28LPD 22%29 Underway In February 2014

For the first time, the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) arrived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a regularly scheduled port visit, April 6.

While in port, the crew of San Diego will have a chance to engage in friendship building activities, through professional exchanges with Sailors from the Mexican Navy. The crew will also volunteer their time and participate in a community relations project to help re-paint a local library.

“You always want to build professional engagements with other militaries,” said Commanding Officer, Capt. Pete Collins. “And with Mexico being our next door neighbor, working together will continue to build our relationship while fostering a professional atmosphere between our two Navies.”

The crew will also have the opportunity to visit many local attractions such as Old Town Vallarta, colorful markets, and beautiful beaches as well as experience a diverse range of foods and cultures while taking some well-deserved rest and relaxation. .

“This visit provides the crew a great opportunity to see and experience new things while enjoying the nature of being in the U.S. Navy in a foreign port,” continued Collins.

Coming up this April 26-29, Punta Mita will host the the inaugural Golf Kitchen event, featring chefs from some of the most prestigious Golf Clubs and Resorts in the USA and Mexico.

This event combines gourmet dining events and a golf tournament over three nights and four days in Punta Mita, Mexico — think of it as a spring version of our super-popular Gourmet & Golf Festival! Punta Mita Executive Chef Pato Pérsico will be the host Chef for the event, joined by the Executive Chefs and teams from Sebonack Golf Club, Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, Sankaty Head Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, and Club Bosque Real. The two-day Golf Kitchen CupPro-Am will take place on both of Punta Mita’s Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses – Bahia and Pacifico, and will join a Chef from each Golf Club with each foursome. The event is organized by Golf Kitchen magazine. in conjunction with Punta Mita, the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, and the Riviera Nayarit Tourism Board.
