The director of the International Mariachi Fair, Héctor Turrubiates explained that, in addition to musical presentations, the Mariachi Fair will feature workshops, contests, conferences and training for not only mariachi groups, but for anyone who is interested in this musical genre that is part of the essence, identity and national culture of Mexico. In addition to private events, public galas will be held so that all visitors and locals can enjoy a first class show, since the main objective of the event is to achieve a broad exposure of mariachi music as a pillar of Mexican identity.
The organizer added that musicians who wish to become professionals will have an opportunity to participate in the Mariachi International Music Congress, which will attended by some of the best mariachis and 15 of the best teachers of this genre. He also announced that there will be Mexican Folkloric dance performances, lectures on social media networks, musical instrument sales and production, and just about everything that has to do with the music industry that supports the diffusion of mariachi.

RHA Fest will take place next Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2019, aiming to promote the best house music in the region.
Towards the north of Puerto Vallarta, in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, RHA Fest will take place next Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2019, with the aim of promoting the best house music in a spectacular place.
RHA means “flowing water” in Wixárika or Huichol ethnic language, which is spoken by the members of the most representative indigenous culture of this region of Mexico.
So far the confirmed DJ’s are:
Friday:Guy Gerber, Lee Burridge, Anja Schneider, BONES, BEHROUZ, Öona Dahl, Santé and Viceroy.
Saturday: Bedouin, Nic Fanciulli, Jonas Rathsman, Lauren Lane, Liam Fitzgerald, Marques Wyatt and Tom & Collins.

According to the Municipal Director of Tourism, the state is expecting higher hotel occupancy for the Holy Week & Easter 2019 holiday period.
Expectations for the Holy Week and Easter period are as usual very high, with even higher occupancy rates this year, according to Ramón González Lomelí.
The municipality’s Tourism Directorate will have public service modules, like in previous years, at the API (Integral Port Administration), the truck central, the airport and in front of Vallarta Plus.
With the expectation that Vallarta will hit 100% occupancy, specially on the Thursday-Sunday period, Gonzalez Lomeli noted ‘we've talked to hotels so they keep us updated on room availability so we can help visitors’. About this, he noted that usually tourists arrive at the directorate to ask for availability in the region, which is why they are coordinating with hotels.
When it comes to the economic spill in Puerto Vallarta for the holiday period, the director noted the state is working with an estimate but numbers will have to be adjusted with current rates, so they will inform the public later on more accurate data.
