Fans of Spanish rock have a date next April 19, 2019, at the 2nd Riviera Nayarit Rock Festival. The concert will take place at Explanada Mezcales with several internationally recognized bands performing.
In a press event, the organizing committee mentioned Maldita Vecindad, Genitallica and Inspector will headline the festival. En rueda de prensa, el comité organizador mencionó que Maldita Vecindad, Genitallica e Inspector, encabezarán este segundo festival.
They also noted the first edition of this festival gathered over eight thousand attendees, and this next installment is expecting over fifteen thousand people from all over the country, mostly from Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta. More than five thousand tickets have been sold so far, however, anyone who wishes to assist may still buy a ticket at any ‘Medisim’ pharmacy or contact the festival’s social media account on Facebook.
The committee also informed the press the event will take place at a 4 acre promenade prepared for a double stage to facilitate the performances, which will take place from 11:30 am until midnight.

Now in its 13th edition, the Vallarta Azteca folk group will once again put on its traditional dance festival; a highly anticipated event in the region. On this occasion it will be held from April 28th through May 5th.
Besides 12 dance companies from Mexico, coming from states like Nayarit, Colima, Sinaloa, Guerrero, Aguascalientes and Jalisco, the festival will feature dancers from Italy, Panamá, Ecuador, Perú, Colombia, Chile, El Salvador, Israel and Bolivia.
The inauguration event will be on April 28th on the Malecón. The dancers will pose as a group at the Arcos del Malecon and then will do a parade from there to the Pensions Institute (IPEJAL) where the festival will take place.
Access to the festival is completely free and it takes place from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The gastronomic festival Restaurant Week announced the list of participating restaurants for the edition that will mark its 15º anniversary in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
Participants comprise a wide range of types of cuisine and are located all along Banderas Bay, providing local and foreign diners with the opportunity to taste the varied flavors of the destination at reduced prices. Restaurant Week will be held from May 15 – June 10 and, for the second year in a row, the festival has broken its record for participating restaurants, with 62 establishments preparing for the 2019 edition (the previous record was set in 2018 with 59 restaurants).
Throughout the event, these venues will offer innovative, three-course menus (with three different options each) and will be grouped into three price categories: $289, $399 y $466 MXN per person, which in some cases represent a discount up to 50 %. Note that tips and beverages are not included in these prices.

Puerto Vallarta is the second most sought after beach destination for the upcoming Holy Week holiday among national tourists, according to online travel and hotel agency Expedia.
Puerto Vallarta is the second most sought after beach destination for the upcoming Holy Week holiday among national tourists, according to online travel and hotel agency Expedia in their most recent poll, titles “Best and Cheapest Destinations for Holy Week”, where one thousand citizens answered about their preferences for the upcoming vacations.
According to the results, first place goes to Cancun, Quintana Roo, with 28%. However, Puerto Vallarta positioned itself in second place with 16%, overtaking the Riviera Mara (15%). Other favorites for travelers are Tulum (12%), Cabo San Lucas (10%), Acapulco (8%) and Playa del Carmen (7%).
This same poll also revealed how important cost planning is for national tourists when thinking about vacationing. 40% of people polled noted price is the imperative factor when choosing where to travel.
Expedia also revealed the destinations considered cheapest by the public, in this order: Guadalajara, Toluca, Ciudad del Carmen, Veracruz, Puebla, Ciudad de México, Monterrey, León, Tampico, Huatulco.
