Puerto Vallarta is bracing for a surge in tourism as the city prepares to celebrate its iconic Fiestas Patrias (Independence Day) from September 14th to 16th. The festive atmosphere, combined with the city’s stunning beaches and attractions, is expected to draw a significant number of visitors.
Alejandro Torres Magaña, the general manager of the Association of Hotels and Motels, expressed confidence in the upcoming festivities. “September 15th is a nationally celebrated holiday, and Puerto Vallarta’s celebrations are always exceptional,” he stated.
Torres Magaña emphasized the importance of providing excellent hospitality to visitors, urging local businesses to make them feel welcome. Last year’s “Patriotic Bridge” weekend served as a testament to the city’s tourism potential, with many hotels reaching full capacity and an average occupancy rate between 80 and 85 percent.
While September is typically a low season for tourism in Puerto Vallarta, the patriotic celebrations are expected to give it a significant boost.
