The government of Jalisco has announced the completion of a major renovation project on the Francisco Medina Ascencio Boulevard in Puerto Vallarta. The overhaul, which spanned both the east and west sides of the boulevard, involved a significant investment of nearly 329 million pesos.
During a recent visit to the municipality, the Governor officially inaugurated the project. The renovation included a complete overhaul of the roadways, sidewalks, and infrastructure, with a particular focus on improving pedestrian and cyclist safety. New features such as segregated bike lanes, wider sidewalks, and improved storm drainage systems have been implemented along the 5.43-kilometer stretch.
The project is expected to benefit between 5,000 and 8,000 people daily and is seen as a significant improvement to the city’s infrastructure. The renovation not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the boulevard but also aims to improve traffic flow and promote sustainable transportation options.
