Puerto Vallarta experienced a significant boost in tourism this week as two cruise ships made a simultaneous visit, bringing over 11,000 passengers to the city.
The Navigator of the Seas and the Carnival Firenze arrived on Tuesday, October 1st, with a combined total of 10,903 passengers and crew members. According to the National Port System Administration (Asipona Vallarta), this marks the first double arrival of cruise ships in Puerto Vallarta for the season.
A few hours earlier, the Carnival Firenze, measuring 323 meters in length, arrived with 5,869 passengers and crew. With an estimated average spending of $120 per person, the double arrival is expected to generate over $1.3 million in economic activity for the city.
Puerto Vallarta is anticipating a busy cruise season this year, with 16 scheduled arrivals in October alone, including eight double arrivals and one overnight stay.
