New Emergency Response System in PV

Puerto Vallarta has taken a proactive approach to enhancing public safety with the installation of 120 new emergency response poles throughout the city. These distinctive blue poles, known as “Tótems,” are equipped with surveillance cameras, speakers, and panic buttons, providing citizens with a quick and easy way to report incidents.

Strategically placed in high-risk areas, the “Alerta” Tótems allow residents to instantly alert the city’s Command and Control Center (C2) of crimes, accidents, fires, or medical emergencies. This rapid response system aims to reduce crime and improve overall safety in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to the Tótems, Puerto Vallarta has increased police presence in high-risk zones and installed additional surveillance cameras. These measures are part of a broader strategy to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.

To further support these initiatives, the city plans to launch promotional campaigns aimed at preventing violence and encouraging community involvement in safety efforts.
