The Rainbow Race is set to return to Puerto Vallarta on November 10th, 2024, bringing together the community to celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity, and support local causes.
This year’s race will feature a 2K and 5K route along Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio. The event aims to surpass last year’s participation, with a goal of reaching over 1,300 runners and involving more than 200 volunteers.
Proceeds from the Rainbow Race will benefit two local initiatives: the Vallarta Gay Plus Community Center, which supports the LGBTQ+ community, and the Focus on Green project, which offers English language courses to local residents.
The Rainbow Race is made possible through the collaboration of numerous organizations, including the Mexican Sports Federation of Diversity, the National Association of LGBTQ+ Sports, Vallarta Pride, the Vallarta LGBT Association, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion Trust, Todos A.C., and the Municipal Sports Council of Puerto Vallarta.
