Puerto Vallarta experienced a significant surge in international visitors earlier this week, with two days of triple cruise ship arrivals bringing over 17,500 tourists to the city. The first of the triple arrivals occurred on Tuesday, April 21st, with the docking of the Navigator of the Seas, Carnival Panorama, and Zaandam. These vessels brought more than 9,800 cruise passengers and over 3,100 crew members, who had the opportunity to enjoy Puerto Vallarta’s natural beauty and the renowned hospitality of its residents.
The following day, Wednesday, April 23rd, saw the arrival of the Discovery Princess, Coral Princess, and Eurodam. These cruise ships brought over 7,700 passengers and more than 3,000 crew members to the port, who also enjoyed the pleasant weather, excellent cuisine, and the various attractions that characterize this popular beach destination.
The arrival of these over 17,500 cruise passengers is estimated to have generated an economic benefit of more than 2.1 million dollars for Puerto Vallarta, based on the average spending of approximately 120 dollars per passenger (including taxes).
