The recognition was announced during the 5th National Meeting of Sustainable Beaches in Cancún, Quintana Roo, an event that celebrates the commitment of coastal destinations to responsible coastline management. Representing Mayor Luis Munguía, Councilman Christian Omar Bravo Carbajal presented Puerto Vallarta’s “Clean Beaches Model,” sharing successful strategies that have made the city a national example in beach certification, community involvement, and environmental education.
