The highly anticipated Puerto Vallarta Half Marathon and 5K is set for a revitalization this year, celebrating its 21st edition on November 9, 2025. The event is poised to offer participants one of the most scenic and breathtaking running routes available in Mexico.
The Unidad Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Complex—affectionately known as “El Estadio”—will serve as the energetic hub for the event, hosting both the start and finish lines for all races. The route itself takes full advantage of the city’s coastal beauty, utilizing the central lanes of the Francisco M. Ascencio Boulevard.
Runners in the Half Marathon (21K) will follow the picturesque route north, turning around near the iconic Puerto Vallarta sign located just past the International Airport. The 5K race offers a shorter, equally vibrant course, with the return point set at La Isla Shopping Village. Both races promise stunning ocean views and a fast, exciting pace.
The competition is open to both men and women across a variety of age groups, ensuring a fair and competitive field for all participants. Categories include Free (18-29 years), Master A (30-39), Master B (40-49), Master C (50-59), and Veteran D (60+). To celebrate excellence, trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in every category.
