Puerto Vallarta is set to host the world-renowned Puerto Vallarta by UTMB® trail running series for its fourth consecutive year from March 5 to 7, 2026. As part of the prestigious Ultra-Trail Mont-Blanc World Series, this event brings together elite athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to compete in one of the most beautiful and challenging landscapes in the world.
Runners can choose from six different race distances tailored to various skill levels. These range from the accessible 10K “Pata Salada” and 20K “Ereno” to the massive endurance challenges of the 100K “Hikuri” and the flagship 147K “Wixárika.” The diverse routes take participants through a stunning variety of ecosystems, including high-altitude forests, traditional agave fields, and lush tropical jungles, before finally finishing on the sunny beaches of Puerto Vallarta.
With the event weekend fast approaching this March, participants are currently in their final weeks of training. Registration for these races opened last August, attracting hundreds of runners from across the globe who are eager to test their limits. This competition continues to solidify Puerto Vallarta’s reputation as a premier destination for international sports, eco-tourism, and adventure.
