Puerto Vallarta Announces Infrastructure Boost

Puerto Vallarta is embarking on a transformative journey this year, as Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía González announced an ambitious public works investment exceeding 600 million pesos. This record-breaking initiative, fueled by a collaborative effort between municipal and state governments, aims to modernize the city’s infrastructure and enhance the daily lives of its residents through high-impact community projects.

A major pillar of this investment is the expansion of local healthcare services. The city is prioritizing the well-being of its citizens with a 400-million-peso initial phase for a new Civil Hospital. Additionally, 30 million pesos will be dedicated to the construction of a specialized clinic for autism care, ensuring that essential and inclusive medical support is accessible to families right here in the region.

The 2026 plan also places a strong emphasis on sports and recreation as part of a healthy lifestyle. Approximately 200 million pesos are earmarked for the development of the La Bobadilla Sports Center, a modern facility designed to provide youth and families with top-tier spaces for athletic activities. These efforts reflect a commitment to building a more vibrant and active community for everyone.
