Get ready for the most adorable date of the season! On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the JW Paws Alliance will host the first annual Puppy Love Valentine Dog Walk. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at Lázaro Cárdenas Park in the Romantic Zone. It’s a perfect opportunity for pet lovers to celebrate Valentine’s Day early while supporting The Sula Society, a local no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehoming neglected dogs across North America.
The evening is packed with fun activities for both humans and their four-legged companions. Before the walk begins, you can enjoy live music by local artist Yara, snap some memories at themed photo booths, or enter your pup in the “Cutest Rescue Dog” competition. At 6:15 p.m., the group will take a scenic stroll along the Malecón to the dolphin statue and back. The night wraps up at 7:30 p.m. with a raffle featuring prizes donated by generous local businesses.
While the event is free to attend, you can make a difference by purchasing a donation wristband. There are three tiers: “First Luv” (100 pesos) for a pink wristband and treats, “Lotta Luv” (200 pesos) for a red wristband and a cute bandana, and “All The Love” (400+ pesos) for a gold wristband. Every peso goes directly to animal welfare, helping provide medical care and food for dogs in need.
