Puerto Vallarta added another specialized tourism event to its 2026 calendar as the 5th Latin American Food Safety Congress was scheduled for July 15-16 at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera All Inclusive Resort.
The Jalisco government said the congress was designed for the hotel, restaurant, catering and retail sectors, with international specialists sharing practical standards for food safety, service quality and visitor confidence. The official program listed more than 300 executives and specialists from 14 countries, plus simultaneous translation for conference and workshop sessions.
The agenda included 12 keynote conferences, five discussion panels and eight practical workshops for researchers, auditors, quality-control professionals and postgraduate students. Speakers highlighted in the state announcement included Vittorio Fattori of the FAO, former U.S. FDA Deputy Commissioner Frank Yiannas, Women in Food Safety representative Melody Yu and Grupo Delcen director Joaquín Nava.
