Puerto Vallarta is scheduled for 20 cruise-ship arrivals in October 2026, according to the current tentative calendar from ASIPONA Puerto Vallarta. That is one call fewer than the original 21-ship list after Coral Princess canceled its Friday, Oct. 2 visit because of weather.
The updated calendar still points to a busy start of the high season, with six double-arrival days and an overnight stay by Holland America Line’s Koningsdam. Celebrity Summit is listed for Sunday, Oct. 4, followed by Nieuw Amsterdam on Monday, Oct. 5. The first double call is Tuesday, Oct. 6, with Carnival Radiance and Disney Wonder.
Discovery Princess is scheduled four times, on Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, sharing three of those Wednesdays with Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady. Koningsdam is due at Pier 1 at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, remaining overnight and departing at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. The month is listed to close Thursday, Oct. 29, with Norwegian Encore and Carnival Firenze.
Banderas News, citing the original ASIPONA schedule, reported the same 21-call outline and later posted the Coral Princess weather cancellation. Noticias de la Marina independently described the 21-arrival plan, six double days, the four Discovery Princess calls, and the Koningsdam overnight. CruiseTimetables.com lists the same core October ships while still showing the canceled Coral Princess call. Third-party schedules can also include extra ships that are not on the official port calendar.
The activity is useful for visitors and businesses around the port, Marina Vallarta, downtown, and the Puerto Vallarta Malecón. Cruise passengers heading into town should allow time for taxis, tour meeting points, and traffic near the cruise terminal.
