While orca sightings are rare in Puerto Vallarta, they have occasionally been spotted in Banderas Bay. Orcas are not as common as humpback whales, which migrate here every winter. Whale watching tours in PV have a very small chance of seeing orcas, but it is possible. Any orca sighting would be extremely lucky. It’s much more common to see humpbacks, dolphins, and other marine life.
