Air Canada is significantly expanding its service to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) for the Winter 2026-2027 season, bringing its total to four direct non-stop routes from Canada’s major hubs. The headline addition is a brand-new service from Calgary, which joins the established routes from Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. This strategic growth cements Air Canada’s position as a leading choice for Canadian travelers looking for premium and reliable access to the Mexican Pacific.
The newest route from Calgary (YYC) to Puerto Vallarta will launch on December 10, 2026, and run through April 10, 2027. Operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, this service will utilize the fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This addition is part of a larger Western Canada expansion that also includes new seasonal service to Cancun and expanded regional connections through Vancouver.
Travelers from Central and Eastern Canada will continue to enjoy robust service, with Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL) offering daily or near-daily frequencies during the peak winter months. Meanwhile, the Vancouver (YVR) route remains a staple for West Coast travelers, with flights scheduled throughout the week to accommodate both week-long vacations and shorter “long weekend” escapes.
