Iconic PV Hotel to Rebrand as an All-Inclusive Resort

The iconic Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta is undergoing a large-scale transformation and is set to reopen in May 2026 as The Westin Resort & Spa Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort. This will mark a significant milestone for the brand, as it becomes the first Westin hotel in Mexico to operate under this new all-inclusive concept.

Located just minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and situated along the Pacific coast, the resort has been under renovation for a year with a multi-million-dollar investment. “We are excited to witness the next chapter in the evolution of our resort,” said Hugo Lecanda, the hotel’s General Manager. “Starting in May 2026, we will offer an unprecedented all-inclusive experience, while maintaining the award-winning service that our guests know and love.”

The newly renovated resort will feature 281 suites, including 30 with private pools and 16 swim-up rooms. It will also introduce 10 new restaurants and bars, along with cultural and wellness experiences. The property will boast updated pools, new pickleball and padel courts, a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, and the renowned Heavenly Spa. The resort will cater to a wide range of travelers with both exclusive adult-only and family-friendly areas.
